29/09/2006 : Held to a Draw by Villa
Chelsea have been held to a 1-1 draw by Aston Villa.
Chelsea took an ealy lead from on-form striker Didier Drogba
but Villa striker Agbonlahor levelled just before the break.
Chelsea pushed forward in the second half but could not find the winner.
27/09/2006 : Super Drogba Nets Hatrick
Didier Drogba has scored his first Chelsea hatrick in the Champions
League match against Levski Sofia. Sofia managed to score a late
consolation goal with a final score of 3-1 to Chelsea.
Elsewhere in group A, Barcelona could only manage a 1-1 draw against
Werder Bremen which leaves Chelsea on top of the Group.

23/09/2006 : Lampard Double Sinks Fulham
Frank Lampard scored once from the spot and again seven minutes
later to give Chelsea a win over London rivals Fulham at Craven Cottage.
The victory is now Chelsea's 4th straight win in the Premiership.
12/09/2006 : Drogba Winner
Didier Drogba scored a fantastic left foot volley to give Chelsea
an edge over rivals Liverpool.
Drogba's goal was the only one of the match as Chelsea beat Liverpool 1-0.
12/09/2006 : A Winning Start
Chelsea got off to a good start in the Champions League
with a comfortable 2-0 home win over Werder Bremen.
Goals came from Essien and Ballack who scored his first for Chelsea
Also in Group A, Barcelona beat Levski Sofia 5-0.

09/09/2006 : Chelsea Beat Charlton
Chelsea have beaten bogey team Charlton at home with a scoreline
of 2-1. Chelsea took an early lead in the sixth minute with a goal
from Didier Drogba. Charlton managed to equalize with a goal
from Chelsea old-boy Jimmy-Floyd Hasselbaink but Ricardo Carvalho
scored the eventual winner shortly after.
01/09/2006 : Deadline Day Transfers
Chelsea have finally managed to sign defender Ashley Cole from
fellow Premiership club Arsenal.
The deal will see unsettled French defender William Gallas go to
Arsenal plus £5m.
Fellow defender and fans favourite, Robert Huth has also left Chelsea.
He has moved to Middlesborough for £6m.
