27/08/2006 : Chelsea Beat Blackburn

Chelsea have gained their second victory of the season
away at Blackburn.
The Champions won 2-0 with a second half penalty from Frank Lampard
and a late goal from substitute Didier Drogba.


25/08/2006 : Champions League Draw

Chelsea are to face rivals Barclona in the opening round
of the Champions League.
The other teams in Group A are German side Werder Bremen and
Levski Sofia of Bulgaria.

23/08/2006 : Middlesbrough Claim Last Gasp Win

Chelsea have been beaten again by Middlesbrough at the
Riverside Stadium
Andriy Shevchenko scored the opening goal and it looked like
that might be enough to seal the points but Pogatetz scored the
equalizer on the 80th minute. Mark Viduka scored the winning
goal in the 90th minute to give 'Boro their second consecutive
home win over Chelsea.


20/08/2006 : Chelsea off to a Flying Start

Chelsea have beaten Manchester City 3-0 on their opening
fixture of the new Premier League Season.
John Terry, Frank Lampard and Didier Drogba scored the goals in a
straight forward match for the Blues which also saw Corradi sent
off for after a second yellow card for City.


13/08/2006 : Chelsea Lose Community Shield

Chelsea have lost the Community Shield to Liverpool.
Riise scored the opening goal for Liverpool but new signing Andrei Shevchenko
equalised just before half time. Peter Crouch scored the winning goal for Liverpool to make it 2-1.


10/08/2006 : Crespo Moves to Inter

Chelsea striker Hernan Crespo has moved to Italian Club Inter Milan
Crespo has moved on a two year loan deal that will see out his remaining
Chelsea contract at Inter Milan.


03/08/2006 : Duff and Del Horno Go

Damien Duff and Asier Del Horno have been sold to
Newcastle Utd and Valencia respectively.
