In	Tal Ben Haim	Defender	Bolton	Free	Brought in as defensive cover for John Terry and Riccardo Carvalho. Hopefully this means that Essien can actually play in midfield for once.
In	Claudio Pizarro	Striker	Bayern Munich	Free	28 year old Peruvian Captain is a very good asset to the Squad and is a bargain on a free transfer.
In	Steve Sidwell	Midfielder	Reading	Free	One of Readings best players but can only hope to be a squad player at best while now at Chelsea

Out	Arjen Robben	Midfielder	Real Madrid	£25m	A talented but injury prone player that shone in his first season but has never really stamped his authority in the team since. Perhaps not strong enough for the physical Premier League.
Out	Khalid Boularouz	Defender	Seville	Loan	Bought last season but a number of blunders has left him out of favour.
Out	Geremi	Defender/midfielder	Newcastle	Free	A utility player that never really pushed for a place in the starting eleven.
